ARRIVE: Merida

I arrive to a not so busy and clean airport. Nice thing here is that Uber ($12) is here.

At first the Airbnb at first seems to be rough part of town but later proves be a different story

closer to the town center you realize that there’s a mix of tourist and locals

Later on in the evening there’s a demonstration of the indigenous game with the ball. Apparently this happens every weekend in the evenings and it’s wonderful to see the culture in the history of the area persevere.

If this was old town in Albuquerque, what would that be?

went and I have noticed when traveling to different Cities that embrace the history of their culture is that the locals Aren’t you simply performing at these events but you have a great sense that they live it as well.
